March 1st - A Snowdrop for all my friends... and a Happy Spring!

"The snow lay deep, for it was winter time. The winter winds blew cold, but there was one house where all was snug and warm. And in the house lay a little flower - in its bulb it lay, under the earth and the snow.

One day the rain fell and it trickled through the ice and snow down into the ground. And presently a sunbeam, pointed and slender, pierced down through the earth, and tapped on the bulb.

"Come in," said the flower.

"I can't do that," said the sunbeam - "I'm not strong enough to lift the latch. I shall be stronger when springtime comes."

"When will it be spring?" asked the flower of every little sunbeam that rapped on its door. But for a long time it was winter. The ground was still covered with snow, and every night there was ice in the water. The flower grew quite tired of waiting.

"How long it is!" it said. "I feel quite cramped. I must stretch myself and rise up a little. I must lift the latch, and look out, and say 'good morning' to the spring."

So the flower pushed and pushed. The walls were softened by the rain and warmed by the little sunbeams, so the flower shot up from under the snow, with a pale green bud on its stalk and some long narrow leaves on either side. It was biting cold.

"You are a little too early," said the wind and the weather - but every sunbeam sang, "Welcome," and the flower raised its head from the snow and unfolded itself - pure and white, and decked with green stripes.

It was weather to freeze it to pieces - such a delicate little flower, but it was stronger than any one knew. It stood in its white dress in the white snow, bowing its head when the snowflakes fell, and raising it again to smile at the sunbeams, and every day it grew sweeter.

"Oh!" shouted the children, as they ran into the garden, "see the snowdrop! There it stands so pretty, so beautiful - the first, the only one!" by Hans Christian Andersen

What if we can't save the world?

Posted on Mar 13th, 2009 by Asteri : StarChild Asteri
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 13, 2009:

First step is to save ourselves, at individual level... When each of us will be loving with everything around, including ourselves... there will be nothing else to save... World is created by our actions... And Earth will accept us again and again to get the job done... World is not to be saved... We need to save ourselves first...

The future of our world in not clear yet... We might have a chance to do something if we remember to love... There is still time... Time as we know is relative... We just need to wish... And the magic of change inside will begin... Is so easy...

Everyday symbols in nature

Posted on Mar 29th, 2009 by Asteri : StarChild Asteri

"A fresh paradigm for living in peace, prosperity and purpose When a feather falls at your feet, it means you are to travel on wings of curiosity. Don't be afraid of strange lands or a language you don't understand. The feather means freedom. Why else do you think the bird gave it to you? -Nancy Wood, Poet, on Native American Wisdom You come upon a snake in your path while ambling through the desert. What is the appearance of this snake saying about your life?

You watch a hawk gliding back and forth, skimming above the tops of bushes. Finally locating a thermal current, she effortlessly rides the uplifting air higher and higher until she disappears from view. How can the medicine-the message-of this hawk help make your life easier?

You find bugs in your house. What communication are the insects trying to give you?

A tree falls blocking your pathway through the woods. What does this "sign" tell you about the development of your professional life?

Wild Things . . . They make your heart sing! The Call of the Wild soothes the soul. Nature provides "medicine" for the spirit. Similar to the helpful guidance systems of astrology and numerology, Nature provides direction and comfort for people who are temporarily out of touch with their own intuition-their direct knowing. As a living guidance system, Nature does more than illuminate your way through life. Nature models how to best proceed on your life journey with step-by-step suggestions. And, as you open to Nature's gifts, you naturally reconnect to your intuition.

Just as we are given useful clues about how to live a more inspired life through our nightly dreams, Nature's compassionate messages provide us with direction, comfort, warnings, inspiration, guidance and encouragement. Even the US military realizes the beneficial uses of Nature. The Army Ranger Special Forces gives their troops specific instructions on how the energy of trees helps people survive in the wilderness. When troops are tired, hurt, thirsty, hungry or lost, they are instructed to find the oldest or tallest tree-then sit, aligning their spine against the tree truck. Troops are taught that the tree will re-energize them, heal wounds, satisfy thirst and hunger and help them to reorient themselves in the woods."
These words were copied during May 2005 from a site about Red Mountains in Sedona, unfortunately I do not have the link of the site anymore...

This morning, while taking the trash bag out, Bisu and I, this is our ritual... in front of my door was a very interesting picture... the black and white feral cat with a snake in front of her and a dead frog body on her right side... everything in a beautiful chilly sunny light of end of March... Me and Bisu went around the cat and snake and I kicked the dead frog body to the flowers bed (it was more like the skin with the shape of a frog)... but felt like dreaming... What in the world was doing that snake there with the cat....?

 image

It looked like a flat headed snake but I am not that sure... could be also a rough earth snake... But looked like a vision to me... the cat and snake together as a symbol...

So Bisu and I walked around the house a little bit and when we came back the cat and snake were gone... I could see the cat watching me under the bushes but no trace of the snake, so I said to myself, ok, there was no snake... Went back to the house and starting to think about it... After few minutes, went out again, the same scene, the cat with the snake at the door... and the cat was playing with the snake... was the snake her food??? So I gave the cat food and she left the snake... I pulled a leaf from the philodendron and took the snake with it, he was showing me his long tongue, but I did not feel scared, just felt him confused... and put him on the other side of the house, on the grass... He went slowly under the grass... and disappeared...

Now I am sorry I did not have the inspiration to take a photo of the moment... the two beings together in the sun... like they wanted to tell me something... But now I wonder what message they were carrying?

Most people feel disgusted or scared of snakes or other reptilians... I was not... just shared his emotions...
