Everyday symbols in nature

"A fresh paradigm for living in peace, prosperity and purpose When a feather falls at your feet, it means you are to travel on wings of curiosity. Don't be afraid of strange lands or a language you don't understand. The feather means freedom. Why else do you think the bird gave it to you? -Nancy Wood, Poet, on Native American Wisdom You come upon a snake in your path while ambling through the desert. What is the appearance of this snake saying about your life?
You watch a hawk gliding back and forth, skimming above the tops of bushes. Finally locating a thermal current, she effortlessly rides the uplifting air higher and higher until she disappears from view. How can the medicine-the message-of this hawk help make your life easier?
You find bugs in your house. What communication are the insects trying to give you?
A tree falls blocking your pathway through the woods. What does this "sign" tell you about the development of your professional life?
Wild Things . . . They make your heart sing! The Call of the Wild soothes the soul. Nature provides "medicine" for the spirit. Similar to the helpful guidance systems of astrology and numerology, Nature provides direction and comfort for people who are temporarily out of touch with their own intuition-their direct knowing. As a living guidance system, Nature does more than illuminate your way through life. Nature models how to best proceed on your life journey with step-by-step suggestions. And, as you open to Nature's gifts, you naturally reconnect to your intuition.
Just as we are given useful clues about how to live a more inspired life through our nightly dreams, Nature's compassionate messages provide us with direction, comfort, warnings, inspiration, guidance and encouragement. Even the US military realizes the beneficial uses of Nature. The Army Ranger Special Forces gives their troops specific instructions on how the energy of trees helps people survive in the wilderness. When troops are tired, hurt, thirsty, hungry or lost, they are instructed to find the oldest or tallest tree-then sit, aligning their spine against the tree truck. Troops are taught that the tree will re-energize them, heal wounds, satisfy thirst and hunger and help them to reorient themselves in the woods."
These words were copied during May 2005 from a site about Red Mountains in Sedona, unfortunately I do not have the link of the site anymore...
This morning, while taking the trash bag out, Bisu and I, this is our ritual... in front of my door was a very interesting picture... the black and white feral cat with a snake in front of her and a dead frog body on her right side... everything in a beautiful chilly sunny light of end of March... Me and Bisu went around the cat and snake and I kicked the dead frog body to the flowers bed (it was more like the skin with the shape of a frog)... but felt like dreaming... What in the world was doing that snake there with the cat....?
image
It looked like a flat headed snake but I am not that sure... could be also a rough earth snake... But looked like a vision to me... the cat and snake together as a symbol...
So Bisu and I walked around the house a little bit and when we came back the cat and snake were gone... I could see the cat watching me under the bushes but no trace of the snake, so I said to myself, ok, there was no snake... Went back to the house and starting to think about it... After few minutes, went out again, the same scene, the cat with the snake at the door... and the cat was playing with the snake... was the snake her food??? So I gave the cat food and she left the snake... I pulled a leaf from the philodendron and took the snake with it, he was showing me his long tongue, but I did not feel scared, just felt him confused... and put him on the other side of the house, on the grass... He went slowly under the grass... and disappeared...
Now I am sorry I did not have the inspiration to take a photo of the moment... the two beings together in the sun... like they wanted to tell me something... But now I wonder what message they were carrying?
Most people feel disgusted or scared of snakes or other reptilians... I was not... just shared his emotions...

I loved this story. How cool that you felt the snake's spirit and moved him to safety. What a big heart you have. It probably would have been a bit scary for me to move the snake…heard to push past the fear to do it…but might have tried. (btw, do you think maybe your spirit already feels and knows the message, but it just hasn't caught up with your thoughts yet?)
Hi dear Kathy… I believe so, that the spirit knows already the answers to my questions, like translating the nature's symbols… For a moment I had a fear thought… because he had the tongue out but as I said, just felt like inside of a bubble dream… and the thought was gone, it remained just the bright light, the cold air, the flowers around, listening the insects noises, the fluffy dog which did not bother the cat and the snake, just walked around them, it was like everything frozen in that moment, like a painted symbol… and the cat sitting still with the snake in a spiral in front of her… Am still holding the feeling of the moment… At home, we have a legend of the snake of the house… that you do not have to kill, just to protect and sometimes to feed him milk… his spirit will protect your house… Now I remember while visiting French Quarter had a tour to a voodoo temple that was very interesting for me… I am open to learn about everything and usually go with open heart everywhere… The priestess had a snake, a huge one… and I was the only one in the group asking to go back to see the snake, her name was Aida… and the priestess asked me where I go… and she said that Aida was there with her, why am I looking for her? They say, during the ceremony, the snake and the human being have the same body, I thought it was wonderful… and the priestess eyes had the light of the snake… Does not matter the message finally, it matters to me that nature talks to me… through everything… so I feel complete… Hugs Kathy…
that's so beautiful, both the experience and the feeling complete. I am astonished and delighted!
Hugs Nicole :))) Have just realised that I used the word reptilians instead of reptiles… funny… yep, the experience was interesting and complete… and the “no fear” feeling amazed me… because it was a snake, and us, humans, we are afraid of snakes :))) is just instinct…
What a great story, Lili. What an odd pair to see together … and so beautiful at the same time.
It's also wonderful how you put the snake back into it's habitat as opposed to hitting it with a shovel, like some might do. He/She is grateful …
Lots of love,
Rachel
Hugs Rachel :))) So glad you are around :))) The truth is that I never thought that I can use the shovel for something like that… Its purpose is to help me in planting trees and or to stay in my way in the backyard LOL I am a peaceful soul, so first thing I have in my mind always is to save doesn't matter the situation and after I think how to protect myself… I watched a movie about the whales journey and there was a sad part when they get trapped in nets on the way to Alaska… So the researchers are trying to save them from the nets, the ones they can… and they also said that the whales could hurt them, but is like they know they help them… I believe that at a certain level of consciousness we talk to all beings around us… and not only around us… Love to you :)))
and just to show you how our mind fills in and changes details to what we expect, I read “reptiles” instead of “reptilians” :)
funny, isn't it? after that I have done a whole “reptilians” research and watched a whole series of interviews on youtube :)) is funny how just a word rings a bell :)))
And to update the list of events, yesterday morning while driving, thanks God I had just 30mph, two red birds stopped in front of my car… slowly dropped in front of my car and I was able to stop and of course everybody in the back… and waited for the two beautiful birds to decide to leave the street… I do not know if the two of them were Scarlet Tanager or Cardinals… Maybe the Scarlet Tanager, both were red and dancing… I just wonder… :)))
Wow! Life is full of beautiful surprises. .
indeed it is wonderful… if we just have a chance to sptep out from the whole drama :))) thanks Nicole :)
